What the project needed.

Developed during the Connected Intersections Hackathon. Traffic Glance aimed to reduce urban traffic injuries by pushing glanceable, contextual safety alerts directly to the wrist.

What I shipped.

  • Engineered Android companion app and smartwatch interface for Samsung Gear 2.
  • Processed real-time NYPD collision database to detect high-risk intersections dynamically.
  • Adapted visual warnings according to user travel role: Pedestrian, Cyclist, or Driver.

Technical architecture & leadership.

  • Handled Android animations, GPS location tracking, Bluetooth watch sync, and Symfony backend communication.

Results in production.

  • Published on Devpost and demonstrated as a leading wearable safety prototype.
